Phasemation EA-1200 phono stage

The Phasemation EA-1200 is a highly sophisticated three-unit phono equalizer and the successor to the renowned EA-1000. Developed from Phasemation's extensive experience with high-end analogue reproduction, the EA-1200 combines the rich tonal character of the company's flagship EA-2000 technology with a dedicated three-chassis architecture designed to maximise purity, resolution, channel separation, and musical realism.
The EA-1200 uses a tube-type, non-feedback LCR phono equalizer, with completely independent left and right amplification stages. A specially tuned MC step-up transformer based on the transformer technology used in the T-1000 is incorporated into the system.
The result is an exceptionally quiet, highly resolving phono stage with superb dynamics, rich harmonic texture, and an extraordinarily realistic presentation of voices and instruments.
Three-Unit Architecture

The EA-1200 consists of three separate units:

Construction & Engineering

Phasemation has paid exceptional attention to mechanical rigidity, vibration control, and magnetic shielding.
The chassis features a 10 mm thick aluminium front panel, a 1.6 mm copper-plated steel chassis base, and a 2 mm aluminium cover with magnetic shielding. Heavy-metal insulators are used to isolate the units from external vibration.

High-quality Furutech RCA terminals and Neutrik XLR connectors are used throughout to maintain signal integrity and overall sonic balance.

Cartridge Compatibility

The EA-1200 is particularly well suited to high-quality low-output MC cartridges, including cartridges in the approximately 0.2–0.5 mV output range.
